Brněnská laťka OLYMPIA is getting ready for a clash of world champions.

The 29th edition of Brněnská laťka Olympia will welcome incredible competition this year, with organizers having confirmed the participation of two world champions from Australia, another world champion from Ukraine, and a world junior champion from Great Britain. In front of the Olympia Brno shopping centre, on **Tuesday 24 June from 6:00 p.m.**, women’s high jumpers from **eleven countries** will compete.

The unique showdowns between two-time world champion **Nicola Olyslagers** (PB 203 cm) and **Eleanor Patterson** (PB 202 cm) always bring battles on the edge of world-class performances around the two-metre mark. It can be expected that the Brno crowd will witness an attack on the Brněnská laťka Olympia meeting record, held by world record-holder **Yaroslava Mahuchikh** at **203 cm**.

These athletic mega-stars will certainly not have an easy path to victory, as they will face a stacked field led by last year’s Brněnská laťka winner, world junior champion and 4th place finisher at the World Championships, **Morgan Lake** of Great Britain (PB 199 cm). Germany’s **Imke Onnen**, 6th at the World Indoor Championships, is currently in very good form—she recently cleared **197 cm** and would like to break the 2-metre barrier in Brno. Making her Brno debut from the USA will be **Charity Hufnagel**, 5th at the recent World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China, with a personal best of **194 cm**. The fight for the top places will also include the third world champion in the field, **Yuliia Levchenko** of Ukraine (PB 202 cm), who is returning to excellent form after a longer performance dip.

The international competition will be preceded, from **2:00 p.m.**, by events for younger girls, girls, and the national women’s competition. On **Saturday 21 June from 3:00 p.m.**, all men’s categories will take place. Registration for all national competitions is available through the athletics office on the Czech Athletics Federation (ČAS) website.
